IndiGo, GoAir, aircraft manufacturer Airbus and engine maker Pratt & Whitney met civil aviation ministry officials on Tuesday to discuss the engine issues.
IndiGo (Interglobe Aviation Ltd), India’s biggest carrier by market share, and rival GoAir were forced to ground Airbus A320neo aircraft on several occasions over the past year due to problems with the planes’ Pratt & Whitney engines.
The European aircraft maker Airbus subsidiaries-Navblue and Aerial have signed partnerships with three Indian startups – Stelae technology, Eflight, and Airpix (accelerated at Airbus Bizlab India). The partnership aims to power cutting-edge technologies that will help usher in new industry benchmarks in aeronautical data services, flight operations, and imagery services.
Vistara announced placing orders for a total of 19 Airbus and Boeing aircraft worth $3.1 billion (approx Rs 21,344 crore), as the carrier embarks on ambitious expansion plans, including flying overseas.
